A brain injury can result in changes to both cognitive and physical function. Our experienced occupational therapy team assesses and supports individuals who have experienced changes in their ability to participate in meaningful roles and daily activities following a brain injury.
We collaborate closely with each individual to deliver targeted treatment aimed at improving functional abilities, adapting environments, and recommending adaptive equipment when needed. Understanding what is required and meaningful across the day provides the foundation for rebuilding capacity and resuming valued life activities.

- Education specific to the individual’s type of brain injury for family members and support networks
- Intervention addressing self-care, leisure, meaningful work, and independent living, including adaptive equipment to maximize independence
- Restorative and compensatory cognitive strategies to support planning, organization, initiation, attention, and memory
- Evidence-based approaches to emotional regulation and mood changes that may impact daily life and relationships
- Structured physical activity programs to rebuild strength and endurance, often supported by a rehabilitation aide
- Home and workplace modifications to optimize functioning
- Collaboration with the broader health care team
